Pastor Jamie this was such a fantastic introduction to 1John. I think it’s clear we’re in the heart of a “Gnostic Revival” and I pray that God uses you and SBC over the next few months to help us explain these truths to our friends and family throughout Arizona and the country.

      God bless!

Hi, Pastor Rasmussen! Just wanted to thank you for your always well-prepared and Biblical messages of Truth. My husband Matt and I love to visit Scottsdale Bible when we are in Phoenix and are grateful we can still grow through your messages online. Praying for you.
Thanks again for how you serve the Lord,

Wow great stuff. We all need this almost daily. Here’s a verse I think might fit well.

Psalm 37:23-24 (New American Standard Bible)
23 The steps of a man are established by the LORD,
And He delights in his way.
24 When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong,
Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand.

When we walk we walk as friends holding hands.

      Pastor Jamie,
The conviction of the Spirit is strong on my life as I watched this sermon……it is painful but I praise God for it. I grew up in the Faith, yet, this sermon has revealed the Gnosticism that resides in my own life. The result, as you can imagine, has been a “walking” away from God…..a journey I assumed I could auto correct any time I chose……the carnage in my life, as a result, has been atrocious. The Prayer for my life today is the same as yours for your church…….that the word of God will soak my mind and heart producing a life of behavioural and intellectual congruency with the person of Jesus. Thank you Pastor for your shepherding, even from afar. Praise God for the internet.
