When do we have the right to go against what our present-day societal “rulers” declare and demand? We will explore the issue of “submitting to the governing authorities” that Peter (and Paul in Romans 13) posit very strongly. Taking into account the entirety of the Biblical witness we will attempt to add some clarity and definition to this age-old, trans-cultural issue.
