I am on duty with the NAVY this Fathers’ Day and unfortunately could not worship at SBC today. I did watch your moving sermon this evening on line. Thank you for sharing the powerful message of our identity in Jesus Christ! How blessed we are!

Dear Pastor Jamie,
Thank you for encouraging all of us to count everything as rubbish compared to knowing Jesus Christ intimately and ultimately. When our identity is truly in Christ we are very blessed, secure, and victorious!
However, I would caution you about saying that tatoos are cool. “You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord” (Leviticus 19:28). “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19). I would encourage others to keep the body holy, sanctified, and undefiled.
