      Dear Pastor,
Thank you for teaching about obedience in this day and age. Legalism is not the way to God and we do not gain by only following rules. Instead when we follow Jesus and experience his saving grace and receive the holy spirit, the spirit of God sanctifies us to reach the stature of the fullness of Christ. Only as a consequence of this can many of the things which seemed ok to us yesterday in our life seem wrong today and obedience gets a new and a very personal meaning. Thank you.
      Praise the Lord.

Since vacationing in Fountain Hills, and attending the church for several weeks, we love listening to Jamie’s messages back in Canada. Bless the filming and tech crews that make this so accessible and enjoyable!

      Jamie,

What an awesome blessing from the Lord last Sunday. I often get caught in the trap of ME trying to be obedient as a result of MY works. Not that working for the Lord is a bad thing but when it becomes about me, well then, it’s about me. We certainly weren’t justified by the law, we were justified, made righteous, because He chose us to glorify Him. Wow! The first step is to Love Him because He has adopted us into His family and He will never let go! I love the Father and therefore I am being obedient and it makes me want to be more obedient! the encouragement last Sunday summed up what I have been thinking and restling with but have not been able to articulate with others. I think we get so caught up in trying to be “holy” that we completely forget about the holiness that dwells within us and born the faith that lives within. One day soon, we will be with Him and truly understand what perfect obedience is and live a perfectly holy eternity with Him. Until then, let santification prepare us for that day as we look to Christ Jesus the complete model of perfection.

I pray for you often, and I encourage you to stay completely focused on the task that God has given you. I pray that your passion will be fueled by the love of the Father and you will contiinually reciprocate with Him. You will glorify the Father as you have a tremedous impact on people like me!

      Thanks Brother!
