Dear Pastor Jamie,
This message could not come at a better time for me. I am not in town and heard the message online after a bitter day of feeling totally helpless in my situation.
Through this message, God was reminding me to trust him and lean on him in my weakness. God has delivered me again and again in the past from all the three enemies you mentioned in your message. Yet I am weakened by all the hurt I feel and fail to ‘completely’ trust him to deliver me from and in my failures and situations. And I say ‘completely’ because there is no place for a little trust in our walk with God. How soon we forget his delivering power in the midst of trials! God is a deliverer and even though the circumstances seem overwhelming, he is a deliverer of those who trust him for it. May the Lord give us the strength to endure trials and trust him for deliverance.
As Psalms 18:2 says, ‘The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.’
Praise the Lord.
