Though the Bible is pretty clear on humankind’s sin problem and need for salvation, each generation of Christians have had some difficulty understanding and agreeing on the varying particulars.  This was no different for Peter’s original audience.  This message will lay out what it means to have “an inheritance” (1:4) that will never perish or fade. Not stopping there, this message will also help believers know what “proof…of faith” (1:7) is needed to be assured that one’s salvation is real and true.  In short, this message will help believers once again realize what the writer of Hebrews meant by “so great a salvation.”  (Hebrews 2:3).
