I Peter 1:3–12

Tags: , , ,

Though the Bible is pretty clear on humankind’s sin problem and need for salvation, each generation of Christians have had some difficulty understanding and agreeing on the varying particulars. This was no different for Peter’s original audience and is why he devotes almost a third of his first chapter outlining God’s plan for salvation—including how one can be assured of salvation and know that he/she has life eternal. This message will lay out what it means to be “born again” (1:3). In short, this message will help believers once again realize what the writer of Hebrews meant by “so great a salvation” (Hebrews 2:3).
